The Cleveland Cavaliers is reportedly giving free team-branded Snuggies – bathrobe-like clothing – to its fans before the highly anticipated game against the Detroit Pistons on March 5.
The Cavaliers are currently at the top of the NBA standings with 46 wins as of this weekend. The team aims to set a Guinness World Record for having the “Largest Gathering of People Wearing Fleece Blankets.”
According to reports, Guinness adjudicated Danny Girton will be present at the game to determine if the team has achieved the feat at the Quicken Loans Arena. Should Girton determine that the feat has been achieved, the fans who participated in the event will get a Guinness commemorative magnet certificate.
In an interview, Girton said that the event is a special one since everyone or anyone for that matter has a chance in getting a Guinness World Record recognition.
